Affordable Duplex 1616-1620 Chestnut Park Ln – Highland Park Richmond VA
This energy-efficient duplex at 1616-1620 Chestnut Park Lane was the final home built in the Matthews at Chestnut Hill development in Highland Park — a historic neighborhood north of downtown Richmond, VA.
The project was developed by the Southside Community Development and Housing Corporation (SCDHC), a non-profit organization committed to building communities that change lives. All homes in the development were designed by Banerjee & Goff, Theta Homes design firm. Theta Homes is honored to have helped complete this community.
Both units achieved strong energy performance scores through the HERS rating system:
- 1620 — 1,528 sf | 3 bedrooms | 2½ bath | HERS: 58 (42% more efficient than code)
- 1616 — 1,120 sf | 2 bedrooms | 1½ bath | HERS: 60 (40% more efficient than code)
